Waterfall Braid:
Sup Everyone! So I learned how to do a waterfall braid a while back. I found a pretty good tutorial here at Beautylish. There are also a lot of youtube videos on it too.
So I took what I learned from these tutorial, and did a little
improvising and came up with a layered waterfall braid. It turned out
looking more like a woven basket in the end, but still pretty sweet!
Step 1: Take the hair like you would for a french (3 pieces), french
braid the left piece, drop the right piece, and pick up a new piece.
Basically you repeat that process until you get to the middle back of
the head.
Step 2: After repeating the process on the opposite side of the head, use a small rubber band to connect both sides together.
Step 3: For your second layer, use the the piece that you dropped
from the first layer as the top (left) piece of your french braid.
Continue dropping the right piece and picking up a new piece underneath
for the next segment.
Step 4: After you have gone all the way around on either side, and
done all of your layers, you can choose how to finish the back. In the
picture above I braided all of the hair in the back together in a french
braid in the back. Then when I got to the nape of the neck I used the
strands from the 4 layers and finished it with a four strand braid .
I hope this makes sense, and I hope you guys like it!! I will be doing more stuff like this coming soon :D
